Responsibility
Square One Environmental is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all aspects of our business. This policy outlines our approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise our responsibility to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and are committed to taking all necessary steps to ensure transparency and accountability. This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners associated with Square One Environmental. Square One Environmental is dedicated to ensuring that no form of forced labour, servitude, or human trafficking exists in any part of our operations or supply chain, educating employees and stakeholders about modern slavery and the risks it poses to individuals and businesses, and providing clear and open communication.
Compliance
Management is responsible for implementing this policy, monitoring its effectiveness, and ensuring compliance across the organisation. Employees are expected to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking. Suppliers and partners are required to adhere to the principles of this policy and ensure their practices align with our ethical standards. We undertake regular risk assessments to identify and address areas where modern slavery may be a concern within our operations and supply chains. This includes reviewing supplier practices and conducting due diligence before establishing new partnerships.
Square One Environmental requires all suppliers to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits modern slavery and human trafficking. Suppliers must demonstrate compliance with applicable labour laws, provide safe and fair working conditions for all employees, and ensure no forced, bonded, or involuntary labour is used in their operations. We provide training to employees to help them understand modern slavery, recognise its signs, and know how to report concerns.
Awareness campaigns are also conducted to emphasise the importance of ethical practices.
Unwavering Commitment
Employees, contractors, and stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspected incidents of modern slavery through our confidential reporting channels. Reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and handled sensitively. Square One Environmental is committed to regularly reviewing and improving our policies and practices to combat modern slavery. We will measure our progress and make necessary adjustments to strengthen our approach. This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with evolving best practices and legal requirements. By implementing this policy, Square One Environmental demonstrates our unwavering commitment to ethical business practices and the eradication of modern slavery in all its forms.
